The weather is cooler this year so people are taking more time to look around. More food vendors appear to be present with more flavorful sauces. Art and crafts are the centerpiece of the art fair.  The Budweiser Clydesdales made an appearance before the opening of street fair.  Six blocks of Broadway was set up with vendor's tent booths.

Welcome to the 33rd Annual Fargo Street Fair and Downtown Fargo !

Welcome to Antiques on Broadway ! # 6 Broadway North near the Red Caboose and Main Avenue.

Planned are a very few showings of "The Manifestation" a fun art project  at Antiques on Broadway.  Added recently to "The Manifestation" is a contemporary take on Balshazaar's Feast from the Book of Daniel. This is more somber than the rest of the work - which entails in part an accurate rendering of the Northern Hemispheres nightime sky.








Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again.

The Street Fair photos were taken the afternoon of Friday July 18, 2008.

Thank You to everyone who came and visited during Street Fair! The comment we hear most frequently is:  "We can't believe how big the store is !" Yes, this at one time was the Fargo Woolworth store, and there is a lot of store even before getting to the basement. Plan a couple of hours to really take it in. Golf clubs were popular items this street fair, along with jewelry, rock posters, art and glassware.

Highlights for me included taking in a big screen presentation of Jaws at the Fargo Theater and watching and meeting the artists at work - also the art show at the Upfront Gallery.
